Pours dark amber with a thin white head. Very light aroma of grain. Taste has light, watery, malt, some heavy toasted grain notes. Palate has caramel notes, some bread, more rye. Good.

On tap at Juniper. Pours clear amber with an off-white head. Toasted malt, caramel, toffee, brown bread, nice.

Canned 4/20/22, drunk 5/24/22. Clear, dark amber-to-light-mahogany, light-beige head showing medium retention. Good and bready with honey, chocolate, white bread dough and very minimal, lightly herbal hops. Soft and malty, toasty but not too much so, with light berry, caramel and softer honey and hoppy herbs. Like the kolsch, it's pushing it a bit on the bitterness (though still much less so than the kolsch). But still balanced, clean and delicious.

Pours deep mahogany tinged brown into a shaker. Mocha head with little retention recedes to skim surface. Dark molasses and earthy aromas. Soft with dark molasses and earthy spice upfront turning to dry, earthy bark and roots in the lasting finish.
