Reviewed from notes.
Can to tulip.
Appearance: thick hazy burnt orange color with a two finger white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: tangerine to melon to passion fruity sweet hoppy tones with a light lemony and slightly honey-ish tone in the middle; subtle clean malts underneath
Flavor: melds the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet juicy to bittersweet juicy quality; finishes semi-juicy with some tangerine to lemony to honey notes
Texture: medium bodied, good sipper; some smoothness but also a little bit of noticeable hop bitterness - maybe just a bit under medium; good carb
Overall: pretty nicely done TIPA for the most part but if they get that hop bitterness assertiveness down a bit more this could be one of the extremely good ones!

Pours hazy light gold into a tulip. Bright white conglomerate head with medium retention recedes to mottle surface. Overripe melon, passion fruit and tangerine aromas. Thick and sweet with hot honey, overripe melon, rotting apricot skin, tangerine, and super elastic bubble plastic front to back.

16 ounce can. Hazy pale gold color. Tight, pillowy white head. Aroma of fruit and malt. Pineapple, pear and papaya. Tangy fruit flavor upfront. Notes of melon, orange, pineapple and pears. Warming alcohol in middle. Bittersweet citrus finish hints at lemon and grapefruit.

Canned 11/23/21, drunk 12/9/21. Very light, pineapple-golden with a large, white, well-retained head. Heavily hazy though not quite soupy. Big, rich, honey notes rise up out of the glass complemented by pineapple, papaya, mango plentiful mineral and other complex notes I attribute to Nelson. No alcohol noted, though all this malt makes me a bit nervous (that said, a triple IPA does need quite a bit of malt). In the mouth it's sweet, moderately bitter for the style with sugar cookie, honey, vanilla and what tastes like light lactose (though I don't think there is any actual lactose here). Hops are, maybe, a bit tame, adding plentiful lemon, green tropical fruits and tons of yellow apple lingering on the finish. Attenuation, texture and body are near perfect. It's malty and rich, yet soft and dry. There's a bit of sharp alcohol at points, but the beer itself is very clean with no obnoxious esters from the yeast. Pretty good, especially the texture and attenuation, but I would like a bit more complexity from the hops. The alcohol is problematic, too. Still not convinced 10% IPAs can be done better than 8% ones. Inherently too much booze and malt seems to get in the way, even when they're not blatantly boozy and are properly attenuated.
