Our original American IPA! This beer features a lush, fruity body with notes of tangerine, grapefruit and melon, set upon a smooth, supportive malt base. The finish is clean and slightly sweet. Brewed with American and British 2-row barleys, and hopped with five different hops, including a healthy dose of Amarillo.

473ml can [at 6.5% abv]. Hazy, orange, dark golden to amber colour with average to huge, firm, frothy to creamy, slowly osteoporosing, moderately lacing, white head. Citrusy fruity, hoppy aroma, slightly sugary, pale malty background, notes of grapefruit, orange, blood orange. Taste is zesty bitter, citrusy fruity hoppy, minimally sugary, pale malty basis, notes of grapefruit, orange, mandarine, some orange peel, lemon. Dissolved sugar enriched, watery texture, slightly dry palate, medium, dense, mildly prickly carbonation. Very fruity, balanced, refreshing - good.

Canned 10/15/21, fresh from the cooler, drunk 10/27/21. Heavily hazy, turbid pour. Brass-bronze with a small, white head that quickly hugs the edges. Really nice house yeast minerality in the nose with very light, delicate pineapple, pear, unripe mango, a touch of sulfur, cracker and very slight hints of honey. In the mouth it's moderately sweet, lightly juicy, with sugared ruby grapefruit, starfruit, hints of lemon, plentiful honey-like maltiness and a pretty soft, substantial texture with decent attenuation. Does get a bit sweet as it wears on, or, perhaps, it just doesn't have enough bitterness to balance. Probably the latter - this is extremely mild on the bittering hop. Really good flavors, though and no flaw, twang or weird yeast.
