Bonfire is our throwback Pale Ale, one that would be easily recognizable during the early rise of the modern craft beer scene. Bonfire is brewed with a simple grain bill and a touch of crystal malt, then finished with some of our favorite classic American aroma hops. A clean west coast ale yeast provides a clean profile and drier body to compliment the hop profile. Bonfire pours a beautiful golden amber color with a lightly sweet caramel malt profile and a pleasing but not overpowering citrus and floral hop finish.

Draught at Tip Tap Room, 9/21/21.
A clear, honey-to-bronze-golden with a small, moderately-well-retained, white head atop.
Nose is a bit sourish/resinous hop, guess this isn't an NEIPA. I usually look up what the beer is before trying it, but didn't in this case and wish I had. Tacky crystal malt, pine, resin and hard, bare citrus with no comforting honey-like malts.
Resinous and with an off-putting, bare texture from the crystal malt. Lemon rind, pine, heavy sourdough bread...I don't understand what people enjoy in these types of beers or why you'd want to make a throwback to them.
