Draught at the brewery, 8/28/21.
Lightly hazy, dark bronze-brass with a small-to-medium-sized, white head that shows low-to-moderate retention.
Nose is soft and malty with plentiful yellow fruit and mild citrus from the hops. Very inviting, without the usual intensely aggressive, piney-resinous West Coast style hop character. Clean and with light mineral/house yeast fruitiness. Balanced and hoppy with no alcohol noted.
Soft and malty, bordering juicy on the hops though it's not tropical. Tons of yellow fruit. This reminds me of when West Coast IPAs started, before they became the bitter style IPA. Tons of pear, lemon, tangerine, apricot and just a hint of enjoyable pine with honey and bread from the malts balancing nicely. No alcohol or flaw with a soft, malty texture. Excellent! I wish I could have tried the other roughly 100 IPAs they had available. They seem to do them very well.
