Brewery draught, 12/21/22. Very dark amber, more cerno Pivo than polotmavy, but whatever. Clear with a beige head that recedes quickly to ring. Strong roast/toast, a bit worrisome about the tannin. Smells extremely roasty, moreso than even a black lager should. And indeed it's super roasty. Good base malt but it clashes with the heavy dark, toasted malt. Tannic and highly acidic.

Pours mahogany tinged cola into a shaker. Tan head with good retention recedes leaving scant, trailing sheets. Dark pumpernickel and hazelnut aromas. Medium bodied with toasted pumpernickel and molasses upfront turning to earthy dark chocolate covered hazelnuts in the dry, lasting finish. Some sour plum emerges as it warms docking it a little.
