Canned 6/14/22, drunk 8/5/22. Wow this is....clear and deep amber? Beige/butter head is medium-sized, slowly falling to ring. There's an even, subtle spiciness to it, very potpourri-like though not astringent-leaning. Red fruits and such from the specialty malts with cereal-like character. But no resin, weird yeast or booze. Can't really tell what to expect from the flavor. Spicy, very much so, with a very bready malt character that crescendos with sourdough and iced tea on the finish. The hops are done wonderfully, subtly spicy and all with interesting citrus rind and an almost preserved lemon character. But I don't know what's going on with this specialty malt. Just sourdough and toast for no reason, distracting from the hop notes and contributing too much additional acidity. Certainly a unique one, and probably appealing to non-NE IPA fans, which I'm certainly not.
