It's time for some “Polish Champagne”!

More commonly known as Grodziskie (pronounced Grow-Jees-K'ya), this Polish smoked beer style is a low-alcohol, refreshingly light-bodied wheat ale that has an oak-smoked flavor melded with a clean hop bitterness!

Polish oak smoked wheat beer brewed with Valley Malt oak smoked wheat & Lubelski hops.

Finally made it to Notch on way back from airport, it took a Grodziskie being on tap. Light pale yellow and frothy white head. Nose is wheat and smoke. Tastes smoky but not meaty, lots of wheat, some lemon, honeysuckle, green grapes. Light bodied and smooth.

Brighton draught, 7/12/22. Lightly cloudy, pale-golden with a medium-sized, fairly well-retained, white head atop. Light lactic acid is gentle and mixes with softer, rustic wheat notes with smoke coming on slowly and gently on the finish. Touch of honey and lemon round it out with no flaw or alcohol noted. In the mouth it's soft, wheat-forward with lemon, light lactic character and gentle, but flavorful woodsmoke. Good attenuation and reasonable malt depth without any punchy acidity or preponderance of smoke.

On tap at Tip Tap Room, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out light smoke, with soft wheat. Flavour is along the same lines, with smoke upfront, soft whispy wheat and a touch of peat. Soft and easy-drinking, with just another smoke. Decent.

Pours hazy pale gold into a stein. Bubbly head with little retention recedes to nothing. Smoke and caramel aromas. Soft with sweet caramel and smoky wheat front to back.
