This Brett Barrel-Aged Barleywine is influenced by the original barley wines made in England! Back in the day, nearly all British beers were infected with Brettanomyces - actually meaning “British flavor”

Now that we’ve been able to harness Brett, we used it to our advantage!
This lovely barrel aged offering hits you in the face with leather, cherry, and tobacco!

You’re not gonna wanna miss this barley bottle bad boy!

375mL bottle, undated, drunk 1/28/23. Rich amber, little, beige head, low retention. Good clarity, well-carbonated. Rich cherry pie-like brett with prominent acidity that almost gives acetic impressions. I suppose that's just the brett mixing with the caramel-like character of the barleywine. Tart and peppery with juicy red fruit and lingering vanilla. No booze. Soft, malty, slick at times but well-carbonated. High attenuation leaves no sugary/syrupy character. Tons of tart black cherry and raspberry impressions with dry caramel and raisin. Lingering leathery tartness with indeed more peppery tobacco. Lots of fruitiness. Quite interesting. No sign of the alcohol. Very rich.
