This batch of 4th D is aged in Two James Rye Whiskey barrels. A spicy oak character, intense sweet caramel malt flavor, and aroma. Some toffee/toasted marshmallow like character.

Aroma: a lot of American oak notes, some toffee, dark fruits, and sweetness.
Taste: along the same lines, noticeably hoppy.

Bottle shared by Kyle, thanks! Pours a clear deep amber brown with a thin light brown head that dissipates quickly and completely. Aroma has rye barrel and sweet grains with a bit of caramel and toffee supporting. Flavor is similar with a good amount of rye barrel presence, some sweet grains, caramel and a bit of toffee coming through

Warren draught, 12/24/24.
Clear, dark mahogany with deep ruby tints. Small, light tan head slowly settles at cover.
Oaky and with a bit of dried toffee and tart raisin. Vanilla and more woody notes without much in the way of big whiskey. Good dark fruit but I want more malt and whiskey and less oak tannin and fruit. Not boozey, maybe some warming.
Oaky and fruity with plum, currant, dark chocolate and light alcohol warmth. Dry, though still fairly malty. Just too much dry, tannic whiskey spice for me, though, ultimately. So much dark fruit. I'm keeping in mind this isn't a stout, so it's not unreasonable to be highly fruity, but I guess the whiskey is just a bit too dry and dominant for my tastes. Lingering heavy spice and light alcohol warmth.
