[1/28/16] Draught at Almanac & Friends Sourfest at MaSo at Park Central Hotel in San Francisco. Cloudy shiny yellow. Great aroma with juicy tropical fruity hops. Tart flavor, lactic, lemony, with lots of juicy fruity hops. Great stuff, really refreshing.

At Matt’s place. Funky, sour, chemical, acidic aroma. Taste with petrol notes. Don’t like at all, strange beer.

Bottle - Rubbery and petroleum funk. Cloudy gold with a decent white head. Acidic and petroleum. Acidic and refreshing. Not bad, but not as good as others.

Hazy blond color. Funky aroma, sour, very peachy, then some passion fruit, then light spicy yeast. Very dry body, very acidic, lemony, a bit of wheat or wheat bread, and some hop resins in the final.

375mL bottle, pours a cloudy golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of tropical dry hopping, followed by citrus and light bretty tart notes. Flavour is very bright, with loads of bright tart citrusy notes, piney dry hopping, and a touch of stone fruitys. Low-to-medium acidity. Very good.

Pine Box Rock Shop, Brooklyn tp: pours hazy orange with a small head. Aroma is funky and a bit hoppy. Taste is pretty sour. Some amount of bitterness. Nice aftertaste. Low sweetness but some. Nice combination of hops and sour but the sourness is more powerful.

Draft at the willows. $5 4oz. Jesus. Translucent golden yellow coloured pour with a thin white head. Aroma is lactose, tart green apple, tart apricot. Flavour is composed of puckering sour gooseberry. Lemon, little bile, tart plum. Too sour. Palate is uber sour, crisp, highish carbonation, acidic. Slight vinegar in the finish.

Bottle. Pours cloudy pale arnold palmer, medium fizzy white head, dissipates fairly quickly to a ring with decent lacing. Aroma is juicy, passionfruit, peach, melon, lemon, and a touch of funk. Flavor is medium plus tart, very light bitterness and a hint of funk. Sharp juicy flavors, tropical and dank, loads of lemon-lime. Medium body. Another solid member of this winning series.
