Purchased in Vermont and hoping it is better than the Voodoo Ranger IPA I just had. Pours a clean light-golden colour with a big frothy head, good stay and creamy lacing. Grapefruit and pine needle aromas with some grass notes. Oranges at first with a bitter middle and a smooth finish. Oh yes, this is much better.

At a tasting, thanks, smallish bubbly head, hazy gold color, light onion aroma with herbs and very light breadiness, onion flavor with some flowers and a mellow herbal bitterness. Very nice and easy.

Bottle from Boise Co-op. Medium golden with small frothy head. Aroma is cereal grains, citrus and hops. Taste ramps up the hops a bit, still lots of orange rind notes. Kind of sweet, but with a lasting zesty bitterness.

Bottle pour into shaker pint glass from Greg & Jane’s Beer and Wine. Appearance is clear golden yellow with trace sparkle, finger width fizzy white head with poor retention and light sudsy lacing. Aroma is grapefruit, herbs, resin, citrus, tropical fruit, light pine. Taste is grapefruit, herbs, light resin. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with slick texture, average carbonation and more bitter than sweet finish. Overall, a lot of hops come through, particularly in the aroma though more doesn’t always mean better--I don’t typically eat a lot of herbs when I’m having fruit... It still mostly works but it would have been nice if more, though not necessarily all, of the hops came through in the taste.

12 oz. bottle from Leary’s Fine Wine. Crystal clear golden color with full fluffy lasting head. Aroma is citrus, weak pine, lots of grain. Flavor is the same but the finish has some herbal hint. Light body that comes off very watery. How many hop varieties were used here??
