Bottle shared at Chris & Ruth´s House. A almost clear pale golden beer with a small white head. Aroma of dry grassy hops, pale malt, tea, yeast. Taste of green tea, yellow fruits, dry mild grassy hops, nice!

Bouteille 750 ml.

Pour is a hazy yellow greenish with a large white head. Aroma is a saison yeast ester some green hop and a spice like cinnamon. Flavor is yeasty esters with a wow inducing citrus tartness that came out of left field. I also get a bit of white grape and some honey malt. I’m guessing the citrus is from the Mandarina hops. After a few sips of the beer the tartness goes away it was just that first sip that it really hit you. This was a solid saison one you got past the look of it.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 3/16/2016. Pours slightly hazy golden straw color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, pineapple, pear, peppercorn, light pine, light cracker/bread, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/floral hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and light pale malt notes; with good strength. Taste of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, pineapple, pear, peppercorn, light pine, light cracker/bread, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Moderate amount of yeast spiciness and light herbal/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon/orange zest, pineapple, pear, peppercorn, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/floral hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and light pale malt flavors; with a nice malt/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Good amount of dryness from yeast spiciness as well. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly grainy/bready/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice dry hopped saison! All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/floral hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and light pale malt flavors; and very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
