This light amber beer gets it flavour and colour from the 100% Bere malt used. The Orkney-grown Bere adds a minerally, almost salty flavour.

Bottle @ Stromness hotel. Igazán tömény kis itoka, csak gratulálni tudok az agrotudósoknak, hogy cefrézhetővé tették. És persze óriási respekt a vikingeknek a betelepítésért.

Bottle from Appellation Wines Comely Bank. This is 4.2%. I might have to send a correction. Appearance - copper with a nice fluffy head. Nose - light biscuit, just a hint of caramel, but a clean citrus hop thing tidying it up. Taste - light biscuit again, some sweetness, then nettles and lemon clearing it up again. Palate - light bodied. Creamy and crunchy through the middle. Nice bitter finish. Overall - good. Not sure I would be able to tell it from the regular Scapa Special.

Bottle shared at Chris & Ruth’s pre-GBBF Shindig 2017 - Part 2. A clear orange golden beer with a small most good lasting off-white head. Aroma of reddish malt, toasted malt, some citrus and spruce. Taste of mild resinous bitter hops, toasted malt, caramel.

Cask at The Teuchters, Leith (pump clip says this is 4.2%). It pours clear amber with a decent white head. The nose is toasted grain, spicy, wood, but, earth, hay and light caramelized sugars. The taste is bitter, brown bread, toasted grain, hay, spice, wood, leather, nut and light sweet citrus with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Interesting malty depth. Solid
