Our iconic Exmoor Beast is a dark, strong porter which comes in at a robust 6.6% ABV. We’ve decided to pay tribute to its legendary status, reimagining it for February’s Pathfinder release.
The original 6.6% version, has developed cult status over the years, having won many awards, and gained a following as strong as it’s taste. So, for this limited release we have brewed it to the same recipe, except we have made some changes to reduce the strength by half, to suit people who may prefer to have a more sessionable dark ale at this time of year.
So, sit back, and grab a pint of this one, and remember as it’s half as strong you can have twice as much!

Hand-pulled half-pint in The Mitre, Witheridge Devon on 31st January 2024. Black bodied with a tan coloured head, supposed to be a half-strength Exmoor Beast, but I'm not too sure. Malty with very little hop action, very pleasant for a 3.3% ABV brew, so well done for that.
