Barrel-Aged Ambiente 2022 is an Imperial Stout aged in Willett Family Estate 4 year and 5 year Rye Barrels for 13 to 44 months and StilL630 Rallypoint Rye Barrels for 29 months. This blend was slowly chosen after more than 2 days of pulling samples from our huge lot of Imperial Stouts resting in Rye Whiskey barrels. Once blended, we finished the base of this beer on Ghana Cocoa Nibs, Mexican Vanilla Beans, Freshly Ground Cinnamon, and Ancho Chiles.

From backlog. Taster, from Bottle, at a big share in Oslo. Black with little head. Roasted Malts, rye, bourbon, Chocolate, coffee, vanilla, cinnamon, some chilli sting in The finnish.

750mL bottle at SP 10th line share, 9/30/23. Undetermined clarity, inky-black-deep brown. No head. Tons of nutty, spicy, rich, strong rye and a hint of softer cacao, blending seamlessly with all the vanilla and chocolate from the malt. Pretty stiff stuff, though not sharp/hot. Just very barrel-forward, which isn't a bad thing here, since these Willett ryes are so lovely. Soft, rich, sweet up front, drying well through to the finish that is full of nutty, spicy rye, rich chocolate, light lead and more wood. Spice lingering alongside nuts, cacao and strong vanilla-like flavors. Syrupy, rich, thick, luscious texture.
