500ml bottle [courtesy of Grumbo - thak you very much!]. Clear, mahogany colour with small, frothy, fading, beige head. Mild, chocolately, roasty, maybe even nuttily, dark malty aroma, cautious fruit hints of bramble and blackcurrant. Taste is dry hoppy, slightly roasty dark malty, an underlying touch of dark chocolate, herbal-fruity hints of unripe bramble, blackcurrant come close to the metallic fringe area.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Appearance - dark brown and ruby. Thin head. Nose - toffee and shortbread. Leather. Taste - more toffee and molasses, maybe even liquorice. Palate - light to medium bodied. The texture through the middle section is dry and lean. The finish is dry and makes you want to drink some more. Overall - good example of the style.
