Brewed with a complex assortment of chocolate, caramel, and smoked malts, it carries an immense amount of character and intrigue fitting for the season.
Pouring a pitch-black color in the glass with a dense and rocky head, ’Tis The Season tastes like melted chocolate bars, dark caramel, and molten toffee with a pleasant whisper of campfire smoke throughout.
Hearty, rich, characterful, and easy to drink, ‘Tis The Season pairs perfectly with cooler weather.
We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Canned Winter 2022, drunk 7/29/23. Dark. Undetermined clarity. Massive, cinnamon-tinged, tan head, good retention. Bread, fudge, dark chocolate, cacao, fruity yeast. Not all that smokey though there's some deep, subtle char. Malt seems pretty rich, intense, but again, mellowed out, perhaps by some cold aging. Clean, no booze. Malty, rich, deep, but tapering off on the finish with a good levity and overall strong attenuation. Fudge, peanut brittle, cacao, vanilla and only light char. Very fruity yeast and lingering salt and caramel. I like that it's not a beat-you-over-the-head-with-smoke smoked porter. And despite it's size, it's not sluggish or difficult to drink. Clean and not boozey.

Can (11/27/20) pour from the brewery, Charlton. It's an opaque black with light sparkle at the edges of the glass, 1/2-finger fizzy ephemeral light brown head with no lacing. Aroma is strong roasted malt, coffee, baker's chocolate. Taste is smoky side of roasted malt, coffee, baker's chocolate. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with thick texture, average carbonation and crisp finish as taste. Overall, it's definitely smoked as opposed to burnt, and lightly at that--it's no over-the-top Rauchbier. Good strength of flavor. Not terribly complex.
Thanks Tom aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, grain. Taste follows aroma, nice balance, smooth and easy to drink.

Can from Jeff, thanks for the opportunity Inky black with a decent sized tan head that quickly recedes. Roasty earthy lightly smokey maltiness with some dark dried cherries and earthy hop to counter. Nice sipper.

Pours a thick, dark, oily black, with smallish head. Aroma is smoke, chocolate, coffee. Flavor is smoke, coffee, chocolate, dark fruit, leather. Soft, full mouthfeel. Not overly sweet.
