This is our Pitch Black ale, aged on organic cherries, in Vermont Spirits bourbon barrels for 6 months. We then referment the beer with Brettanomyces and aged it for another 6 months. Fuzzy has smooth roast and oak flavors blended with subtle notes of dark chocolate and cherry pie. Crisp and dry with tart, almost sour finish.

Reviewed from notes.
Bottle to tulip.
Appearance: dark purple to black color with a finger's worth of eggshell white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: dark chocolate with sweet woody to dark cherry sweet to tart sniffs; earthy sweetness with subtle plum-like tones
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet to tart to slight sour sort of quality; finishes semi-sour with a brisk sweet cherry edge
Texture: light to medium bodied; this is a sipper; some smoothness but quaint and semi-dry; good carb level
Overall: nice enough as an American Wild Ale and possibly one I could enjoy again.

750mL bottle drunk 7/23/23. Clear, dark. Beige head to ring. Smells like brett, light cherry, light roast, light vanilla. No big malts. No alcohol, no flaw. Soft, watery, thin, not very flavorful. Chocolate, roots, wood, cherry. Thin, watery, light roast. Light acetic. Light malic. Vanilla, wood. Water for days. Why is this so watery? I guess the base beer is just a light porter, so you cant expect it to be huge-bodied but it still seems too thin, regardless.
