750mL bottled 3.29.20, drunk 6/22/23. Bright brass-golden. Large, white head, moderate retention. Lemon, light oak, moderate lactic acid, gentle brett and some crackery, rustic malts. Clean, maybe a hint of acetic. Soft, malty, good attenuation and reasonable depth. Pinch of acetic with stronger lactic and lemony notes. Grainy, rustic, cracker, biscuit, rye-like notes from the malts with soft vanilla and a bit of corn. It thins out and the flavor gets a touch bland on the finish. There's a corn-like character that I don't love. Maybe it's just the mix of grain, or maybe it's light diacetyl. It's a competent, well-aged beer but certainly nothing too exciting or interesting.
