Yardsman Craft Lager is a delicate, well balanced beer with a mild floral hop character. It is unique, in that it is filtered through Irish linen, and matured for 6 weeks to allow the beer to mature and develop its smooth and full bodied character. It’s delicate and easy drinking style, which is a perfect combination for food, belies its 4.5% ABV.

Bottle shared at Chris and Ruth Pre-GBBF 2017 tasting - London. Cheers! Pours clear yellow-gold with a frothy, white head. The nose holds pale grains, white bread, straw. Light sweet flavour with more grains, hay, lemon peel. Light bodied with average carbonation. Lightly drying finish, further pale grains. Very so so.

Bottle split at Chris & Ruths pre GBBF Shin Dig, cheers for all the shares, 05/08/17. Lightly hazed golden blonde with a decent off white covering. Nose is pale malts, grains, straw, stale bread ... not much going on! Taste comprises much the same, papery, light straw and grainy flavours. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close. Dull ... just nothing doing in this one.

Bottle from the Vineyard, Belfast. Appearance - golden with a bit of dirty brown in there too. Nose - digestive biscuit and a touch of lemon curd. Taste - honey and lemon. Again light biscuit lurking. Palate - light to medium bodied. Creamy and dry finish. Overall - decent scoop even if not quite on style. Maybe a bit like a Czech pils?
