Stange Design is a beer that we've been experimenting with for some time now and are excited to finally offer as part of our year-round lineup. Teetering between the crisp world of lagers and the hop-forward ales that we love, this Kölsch finds the perfect balance with its light and refreshing approachability yet complex and full-bodied flavor profile.

Can to stange (wink wink to the brewer - great name for a Kolsch!)
Appearance: soft golden copper color with a finger's worth of white foamy head which dissipated at a nice pace and left a little bit of lace
Aroma: floral to sweet grassy to slightly earthy hop tones with a light semi-biscuity malt base
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a fine earthy to floral and malty quality; finishes dry with a touch of floral to sweet earthiness
Texture: light to medium bodied - maybe a touch closer to light bodied; sessionable; great smoothness and nothing preventing the flow to being distracted
Overall: very nicely done Kolsch by Tilted Barn I would very much love to have again.

Pours clear gold into a stange. White head with medium retention recedes to coat surface. Meadow and corn aromas. Crisp with tart sourdough, corn and meadow upfront turning to funky earth and mildly tart lemon in the dry, medium length finish.

Canned 4/17/24, drunk 5/22/24. Clear, bright copper-brass. Off-white head is large, well-retained. Classic kolsch yeast in the nose with plentiful hopping adding fresh flowers, herbs and grass. Hint of sourdough and lots of biscuit and cracker from the malt. Clean. Bitter herbs with plentiful white bread and biscuit from the malt balancing. Somewhat soft, lower carbonation. Quite hoppy, though not too bitter. Maybe a bit more dough/sourdough character than I'd prefer, but it's clean and the hops are bright and refreshing.

Keeping BoM feels rolling. Deep gold brew and minor white head. Nose is bread and some floral hops. Tastes kinda fruity, some nice brews, hint of herbal and floral. Well rounded mouthfeel. Hint of sweetness on palate.
