This is the beer to drink on those extra cold evenings, nursing a mugful while sitting inside our taproom and away from the harsh outdoors, or cozied up at home in front of a roaring fire. At its core are simple ingredients and time-tested lagering techniques. No adjuncts, gimmicks, or added flavors… just a nice blend of Bohemian base and dark malts, fresh Saaz hops, and plenty of cold conditioning. It’s dark as winter's night, with subtle toasted bread and dark chocolate notes shining brightly through like the stars they are, yet still crisp enough to warrant one more mug before bed.

Can to lager glass.
Appearance: very dark brown close to black color with a two finger eggshell white foamy head which dissipated mildly to leave some light lace
Aroma: dark bread, earthy tones, toasted nuts, light toast, subtle coffee
Flavor: moderately sweet, but an ample amount of earthiness to balance out the sweetness; earthy to coffee to dark bready aftertaste
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; some nice smoothness along tongue but also plenty of roast subjugating my tongue, finishes earthy, dark bready and subtle nuts
Overall: I like this dark lager and would come back to.

Can, 24011 date, drunk mid-February 2024. Clear, dark, cola-tinged mahogany. Small, beige head, moderate retention. Chocolate, light coffee, fruitiness and lightly crisp lager yeast on the finish. Not too heavy on the dark malt, seemingly ample base malt and clean. Clean, malty and snappy with crisp yeast, low but ample bittering hop and interesting fruit, chocolate, caramel and brown sugar.

Can (24011 so 1/11/24) pour from Steve. Virtually opaque dark brown-mahogany with nice sparkle, foamy head with good retention and soapsuds lacing. Aroma is strong earthy roasted malt--on the burnt toast side, leaves, mild toffee. Taste is strong earthy roasted malt, bittering Saaz hops, mild dark chocolate. Smooth, silky texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Good representative of the Tmavy style. Nice.

On the eve of storm watching some dark tv calls for a dark brew. Lovely dark brown and fingers worth of foamy beige head. Nose is toasted malt. Tatses bready, some molasses, earth, hint of chocolate. Smooth pour. And burnt toast finish
