Can, undated, drunk 3/5/24. Copper with light ruby accents. Small, beige head, quickly to sparse cover. Base malt galore adding honey and mixing with the medium malts to add a pinch of caramel and ebullient red fruit character. Clean with herbal, earthy and spicy hops all quite lightly apparent, the greater force being malt and yeast. Odd that this is the same process (coolshipped, open fermented) as the Pils and Helles I just had from them, but has none of the cellar must qualities. Or are they just covered up by the extra malt? Either way, it's much less thin than either of those too. Not thin at all, in fact, with plentiful malt and good attenuation. Lingering spice, herbs, rich melanoidin mixed with honey-like maltiness. Clean and incredibly drinkable. Could see it being a bit more snappy/dry on the finish, even.

Pint can from Wine Warehouse, 8/8/23. Hazy amber, large off-white head, average retention. Aroma of toffee, earth. Taste is toffee, caramel, plum, earth. Slick, well balanced. Warming a bit. Nice.

Maybe should have added as an amber lager instead. Fairly amber and fine soapy beige head. Nose is fruity and some caramel. Tastes of dried cherry and apricot, honey, tea, dark bread. Smooth palate.
