Can, date obscured, some time in 2023, from the cooler, drunk 2/28/24. Dark cola with bright magenta-garnet highlights and a large, well-retained, burnt beige head. Lots of cola, hazelnut, light roast, light toast. Maybe a bit lacking on the base malt character. Light minerality, light licorice, light ash. Little/no hop character. Clean. A bit heavy-handed on the dark malt, with big licorice, cocoa, roast and toast. It's very clean, but yeah, very lacking in malt depth/base malt character. Pretty close to being done with Resident Culture. Even Schilling couldn't save them here.

Can pour from The Beer Store, Salem. Lightly hazy dark amber-magenta with nice sparkle, thin, creamy head with good retention and nice lacing. Aroma is strong toasted malt, dark chocolate, brown bread. Taste follows aroma with less chocolate. Smooth, frothy texture, average carbonation and crisp finish. Good strength. Decent complexity. Nice for style.
