Squat 375mL bottle at Stout Week line share, 2/18/24. Dark, cinnamon-raspberry-colored liquid. Nose is beautiful and super, super unique. The spicy yeast certainly sticks out in concert with the spicy bourbon, spicy vanilla and light, dainty spice of the cherry. Too much spiciness? Not at all, as it comes at you from the floral, the earthy, the woody angles, and such. Really nice mellowed honey nose with richness but no brash sugar. Clean and super sniffable, very complex. In the mouth it's equally unique and interesting with tons of varied spice, rich, rich, deep honey and a good showing of the barrel without any aggressive alcohol or overdone tannin. Cherries still retain some brightness, with their own spiciness and rich, deep fruit.
