Finally, after a long break from the spotlight, Leviathan returns. As the crown jewel of Bluewood's barrel program, Leviathan has been resting in barrels for over 2 years in Blanton's barrels only to be given the name when it was chosen as 'la crème de la crème.' This single barrel is chosen from our stout base collection every year to celebrate our anniversary and the true art of barrel-aging beer.

500mL bottle at Stout week line share, 2/17/24. Dark, thick, clear no head. Bright pepper, graphite, some cherry-vanilla, bit more roast than usual. Bit of alcohol, but not hot. Not sugary. Quite chocolatey, very barrel forward. Lighter bodied relative to the very biggest. Spice, wood, heavy pepper, heavy dark chocolate and good malt with pretty good attenuation. Clean and well-done.
