Brewery draught, 2/16/24. Clear light amber. Light beige head slit to light cover. Pepper, greens, moderate toast. Bit of cherry and vanilla. Clean. Soft, but toasty. Maybe a touch breadier than I'd prefer, with long toast, light acid and minimal fruit. Good bitterness, dry. Could use a bit more base malt depth.

Cask at the source: pours brownish with beige head. Aroma is toffee and caramel. Taste is lightly bitter. Fairly sweet. Easy drinking. Solid.

Keg at the brewery, 12/17/16. Clear amber, large foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of toasted malts and mild floral hops. The taste is toasted malts, bitter hops. Medium bodied, mild lingering bitterness, dry.

Pour is a clearish brown with a small whit white. Aroma is a nice caramel malt. Flavor is a very nice earthy British malt with some black bread and toffee. This is a solid ESB and very true to the style.
