Sacred City is brewed with the finest heirloom German malted barley and a touch of malted wheat and undergoes an intensive step mash before being judiciously hopped in the kettle with German Spalter Select. It is fermented relatively cold with our preferred Kolsch yeast and lagered until proper maturation and carbonation through head pressure is achieved.

Lukr at Blackback, 1/18/24. Chill-hazed, blonde-golden. Rapidly-receding, white head. Clean papery apple skin. Lightly spicy hops and soft biscuit. Earthy mineral and notes of yellow fruit skin. Apple, spice, paper, kumquat. Deep malts, good attenuation. Very malty for a Kolsch, but equally hoppy with ample bitterness. Dries out with biscuit and cracker. Clean, fruity, juicy, lots of mineral. Nice.
