Autumn 2023 Vintage. We were on a quest to make a new phenomenal beer utilizing several rounds of barrel-aging, but we couldn’t settle on the name. Triple Double Oak? Triple Flip Oaked? Triple Drink? Triple Double? Double Check? Orville Mash? A call to our VERY good friend Buzz Clutterbuck sealed the deal: Double-Double Flip. With a metaphorical skid of barrel-forward flavor, Double-Double Flip erupts with a profile that’s like taking a flavor whip to your lip, do you catch me? Double-Double Flip is ready to get buck wild—guaranteed. It is factual. So pull up a chair just there catty-corner to those you love, and bring a parcel of Double-Double Flip to your next buffet. You’re going to enjoy it, end of paragraph.

Smooth, soft and slightly roasty with some barrel, bourbon, toffee, chocolate, syrup and vanilla. Quite soft body but intense and complex.

Tewks draught, 1/6/24. Dark. Unclear. Tan head quickly to ring. Big and burly with mega milk chocolate, all sorts of woody barrel and spicy, warming bourbon character. Not hot, but maybe just recently having calmed down to the point that it's not. Still smells a bit disjointed and brash, but certainly aromatic and rich. Light banana and light glue with warming. Rich, oilier than it is syrupy. Juicy, almost, with chocolate, vanilla, peanut and heavy oak crescendoing to spicy, warming bourbon and lingering char, pepper and graphite. It's juicy, thick, rich, intense, but maybe the potential nuances of barrel are either not here or it's still too young to have emerged. Hopefully the latter, but regardless, this needs more time.
