Nestled in southwestern Colorado, Billy Goat Hop Farm is known for sustainably growing top-quality hops over its 32 acres. The farm’s unique geography yields a singular character to its hop varietals, which, in turn, transforms into the refreshingly delicious beer in your glass. They are also winners of the prestigious Cascade Cup, a yearly recognition by the Hop Quality Group for the best Cascade in America. As so often happens in our travels, our introduction to Billy Goat happened by chance—we literally lly drove past en route to this year’s 2023 harvest! Trail Billy Goat Cascade pours a stunning yellow color into your glass, and offers notes of vibrant citrus and mixed pine—it’s a showcase of the magic that happens.

Pours a slightly hazy, pale golden yellow, with minimal head. Aroma is a touch on the dank side, with cracker, malt, some pine. Flavor is cracker, malt, pine. Clean and crisp mouthfeel.

Lukr draught, Charlton, 12/15/23. Gently chill-hazed, bright golden-copper-bronze. Massive, snow white head. Fruit gummies and light mineral. Clean pine, stone fruit and fruity, soft melon. Dainty honey and light lager yeast on the finish. Clean, crisp, dry, fruity hops showing candy gummies, melon and some stone fruit. About as close to OG cascade as this is to a Barleywine. But that's fine. Glad to see them evolve; I much prefer these.
