SHADOWS IN THE DARK is a Doppelbock, decocted with a grist of pilsner, vienna munich, and few specialty dark malts, hopped solely with Hallertauer Mittelfrüh.
We fermented this cold, spunded it for natural carb, and let it lager cold for a few months just in time for the holidays. A perfect beer to enjoy with good company, tasting notes of chocolate, caramel, dates, fig and molasses.

Shared by Tyler: mahogany with creamy head. Some dark fruit and rich pastry nose. Sweetish, malt backbone works well. Very nice.

Brighton draught, 12/17/24. Clear, dark brown with auburn tints. Small, beige head. Light brown bread, scant caramel and a bit of deep red fruit in the nose, clean, good yeast character. Crusty, lean, very high attenuation but still some decent maltiness to it. Brown bread and dried caramel with light red fruit, crisp yeast and mild mineral. Lingering toast with no sweetness at all. Very clean and well-done but wish it were just a bit more richly-malted.
