Canned 6/118/24, drunk 8/11/24. Very deep, dark, raspberry juice red. No head. Cloudy. Rich raspberry juice, nicely fermented, lending more acidity and not much sugar, alongside a lambic-like acidity that shows mild Brett and lactic acidity. Rich wheat and moderate malt depth. Clean, light funk. Rich and malty, with soft, chewy wheat and big raspberry notes that are dry, seedy, authentic. Funk and lactic acid with mild brett on the finish. Not too much sourness. Vague lambic allusions. But just so mellow and flavorful and round, on account of the barrel-aging and natural acidity. If the world lost kettle sours and gained these as an alternative, we'd be in a much better place, beer-wise.
