Brewed with Golden Promise malt from Fawcett Maltings, Fuggles hops, house made invert sugar #3, and open fermented with our fave London brewery’s yeast.
Yes, we have two draft lines dedicated for British Ale right now, for the half dozen of you that care. British ale has sunk so far in popularity, we felt it was safe to go back there, as it qualifies for our love of hopeless causes.
Beer school warning ⚠️: Bitter is not a description, but a range of strengths within a style / category, roughly as such:
Bitter 3.0 - 3.9% ABV
Best Bitter 4.0 - 4.9% ABV
Extra Special Bitter 5.0-5.9% ABV
Kids, where does the phrase All Mod Cons come from?
Sorry this post is chaos, but there is too much to say about British Ale and no one really cares. If you got this far, say “Bollocks” in the comments (in addition to answering question above).

Pours deep, clear mahogany into a willi. Tan head with little retention recedes to mottle surface. Caramel and molasses aromas. Thick with sweet molasses and butterscotch upfront turning to earthy toasted and buttered multigrain in the medium length finish.

Breweries releasing new beers with zero information about them....love it. Draught at Brighton, 8/2/24. Chill-hazed, muted peach-amber-rust. Small, dense, off-white head. Bready, hoppy (leafy, peppery, earthy) and with a shit ton of fruity yeast, even through its ice cold serving temp. Lightly buttery, bready, caramelly. Drying out with husky and toasty malt notes. Fruity, with a hint of raspberry. Very, very dry finish, a bit too much so, exposing the huskiness. But it's clean enough, though there's a buttery undercurrent throughout. Eh....
