Crafted from a blend of three and four-year old Red Ales aged in wine barrels, this crimson-colored sour is delightfully tart and complex. 500lbs of tangerine and plum lend prominent notes of tangy citrus balanced by malt-derived flavors of light caramel and nutty biscotti. Drink fresh or cellar.

Broadway draught, 7/30/24. Cloudy mauve-cranberry. No head. Huge red wine character easily outdoing both the tangerine and plum. Moderate acetic and lactic acidity, low Brett and moderate oakiness. Strong, puckering acetic character with strong red wine and strong oak. Lingering balsamic suggestions. Malty and dry, but I don't get any fruit. Guess it's drowned out by the acetic character...even granting this is a Flemish Red base, I still think it's too unbalanced.
