For our 13th Anniversary, our pilot brewing team took inspiration from the Mexican drink, horchata, often described as a sweet rice milk beverage. Sounds delicious, right? Now imagine horchata brewed as one of our Baltic pastry porters – now that’s anniversary-worthy! Babyhammer Horchata contains the drink’s classic ingredients of brown sugar, cinnamon, and real Madagascar vanilla beans.

Brewery draught 7/29/24. Clear, dark. Sizeable, moderately-well retained, light tan head. Rich, comforting sugars and vanilla. Chocolatey with base malt adding a caramel character. Almost a fudgey marshmallow character. Slight roast, some fuzzy lactose. Fudge and soft vanilla with light maltiness and good attenuation. Cinnamon not overdone. Don't like the lactose and the body's a touch thin but otherwise some rich, comforting flavors.

Draft at anniversary party. Dark brownish black and beige head. Nose is cinnamon and cocoa. Tatses of vanilla, cinnamon, chocolate, rootbeer, earth. Creamy palate.
