Silkemyk munnfølelse. Halvt fruktig, smaksrik, balansert. Varig ettersmak.

Pours a thick, oily black. No foam, or any sign of carbonation for that matter. Scent is roasty, ashy, shows mild age (the beer is 5 years cellared, so...) Quite simple and not as smooth nor intense as I had hoped. Taste is full on roasty, dark chocolate essence, including the bitterness. Bit of a burnt side to it. Mild alcohol boozyness. Honey provides some width, and a sharp edge. Thick body with very low (not absent) carbo. Very old school. Not the most interesting or unique - however it is indeed enjoyable.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours thick and syrupy opaque, black with only a tiny, beige head. Nose is sweet roasty, some licorice notes. Rich, sweet body, low carbonation. Very intense, sweet roast and again licorice notes, I get very little honey but it's not overpowering in any way. This is extremely smooth and delicious drinking, and seems way stronger than 9% - oh I see the bottle says 12% which makes a lot more sense! 250820

bottle from eBrowarium. Deep black, as black as can be, no head at all. Promising sweetish aroma of dark malts. Full-bodied with a warming touch of alcohol from the beginning and throughout. Dark malts with shy chocolate, dried fruits such as pear and dates, smooth and velvety on the palate. Very nice.

330ml bottle [#0309]. Jet black colour with some brown bubbles on top. Sweet-ish aroma, sugary notes of honey, chocolately and roasty, dark malty background. Taste is sweet, chocolately dark malty, notes of honey, notes of dark chocolate, bitter roasty and bitter hoppy finish. Oily texture, smooth, soft, slightly sticky palate. Rather monotonous, not overly rich for an Impy Stout.

Bottle 330ml. @ home. [ As Bytów Gryf Pomorski ].Clear dark black brown colour with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, molasses, chocolate, honey, alcohol. Flavor is heavy sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration, honey, dark malt, roasted, salty licorice, salmiak licorice, deap tasty dark honey sweet, light burnt malt. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat, finish feel is moderate alcoholic. [20180227] 8-3-9-4-17
