On tap at the Beer Baron. It pours a hazy yellow orange color with a nice small but creamy white head. The aroma has some fresh peach skin and lemony citric acid. Very light notes of creamy funk, but mostly just lactic acid. The flavor is very sour. Lots of peach, lactic acid and background notes of funk. Acidic, wine-like finish. A little too sour for me, but the peachy funk makes up for it. Nice.

Pours hazy straw with a quickly fading head.Nose shows funk, coconut oak notes, woody characters and soft sweet overripe peach.Flavours include lots more peach, a fair whack of acidity and some vanilla oak notes. Lovely stuff.

Got to love the bottles. Poured into Cantillon Iris glass. I guess I picked the right glass because this beer was nothing like I thought it would be. I was hoping to enjoy a brett saison with peach. Instead I got a full on sour, puckering, lambic-esque beer. The nose has some tart peach skins and a blunting tartness that blocks funk or anything that resembles what I like. The sourness isn’t acetic, natural, light peach-esque flavor. I can easily drinking this but not worth it for the price. Also, not what I was looking for or wanted at this point.

The beer is a hazy tannish yellow gold. It’s quite cloudy. Head is small to medium in size and fairly fizzy. Bubbles dissipate after a minute or so. The aroma has a nice, fairly juicy peach character. Medium to strong oak. A pretty good dose of a drier, somewhat acidic white wine flavor. Moderate funk. A touch of nice cheesiness. The taste is moderately tart. Some sweetness and body to the beer. Finish has a hit of woody bitterness to clean things up some. Taste doesn’t have quite as much peach as the aroma, but it’s still quite pleasant. Overall, it’s a step in the right direction for Almanac but still needs some tuning.

Almanac tap takeover at PreFunk Nampa Hazy golden with a nice white coarse head. Quite dry and tart and a decent Brett character. Some peach flavors but very dry and champagne like. Loved this one

375 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 11/13/2015. Pours very hazy deep golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of tart lemon, lime, peach, pineapple, pear, green apple, white wine, wheat, cracker, hay, straw, grass, musty funk, light white vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, peaches, wine barrel, and moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart/tangy peach, lemon, lime, green apple, pear, pineapple, white wine, wheat, cracker, hay, straw, grass, musty funk, light white vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness. Moderate fruity/acidic tartness and light tannic oak spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of tart/tangy peach, lemon, lime, green apple, pear, pineapple, white wine, wheat, cracker, hay, straw, grass, musty funk, light white vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, peaches, wine barrel, and moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/tartness balance and zero astringent flavors after the finish. Moderate dryness from acidity; lightly puckering on the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately acidic, and lightly creamy/bready balanced mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent fruited wild ale style. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, peaches, wine barrel, and moderate pale malt flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink with the balanced acidity. A very enjoyable offering.

Bottle from Bine & Vine. Pours very hazy light gold with a foamy white head. Aroma is peach (mild) and Brett (mild/funky). Med body or so. Tart peach flavor with earthy Brett aspects. Decently funky. Mouth wateringly astringent peach flavor. Very nice. Hermitage does another good one for the Almanac folks.

Bottle - Sweet funky and stone fruit. Cloudy gold with a white small head. Light acidity, sour and funky peach with a tart finish. I wish the peach was stronger.
