Very dark brown with thin head. Aroma and flavour have a pleasant smokiness balanced by sweet dried fruits.

Cask (handpump) @ MBCF17 [ Manchester Beer & Cider Festival 2017 ] Manchester Central Convention Complex, Windmill Street, Manchester, Greater Manchester, England M2 3GX. [ As Serious Matmos ].Clear medium to dark red brown colour with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, sweet malt, caramel, dark malt, prune, date, smoke - meat notes. Flavor is moderate sweet with a long duration, smoked, bacon - meat, dark malt, sweet malt, caramel, candy - sweet yeast. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. Manchester Beer Festival 2017. Dark clear brown, very strong with a slight bubble-gum sweetness in its taste.

Cask at the 2017 Manchester Beer Festival. Brown pour with a white head. Toffee apple, smoke, caramel and red grape aroma. Flavours of caramel, smoke, toffee and bake apple. Good stuff.
