Trappist beer is still brewed by monks in the monasteries, while monastery beer is brewed by breweries, according to a recipe from the monasteries. We therefore simply call our beer a Belgian dubbel. We thought that this type of beer fits perfectly with the Danish Christmas table with duck, roast pork, brown gravy and potatoes.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a nutty brown with a slight haze and a tiny, off-white head. Toasted, biscuity malt aroma. Medium body, almost flast. Dusty malt accents and a slight tartness. No bitterness whatsoever. Seems old, tired and off although BB is 16 months from now. 010425

Draft. A red beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of spices, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of spices, dried fruit, malt, and caramel, leading to a dry finish.
