Draught at 3 små rum on October 29, 2015.Batch 2 at 7.5% ABV.Cloudy brown color, tan to light brown head with lacing. Fruity, caramel, light citrus scent, some sugared cream. Bitter, alcohol, husky, fruity taste. I did get "used" to the bitterness fairly fast though, was mainly the initial sips that gave it. Rather bitter, yeasty aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, initiall high bitterness. but not lingering and something I got used to differently than many other bitter beers I’ve had.

Draught @ 3 Små Rum. Pours hazy red with a creamy and frothy offwhite head that slowly dissipates while leaving some thick lacing on the glass. Smell is slightly malty and fruity with biscuits, bread, caramel, grapefruit juice, mango, passion fruit, freshly cut grass, pine needles, orange zest, lemon zest and butter. Taste is sweet, bitter, tiny malty, slightly fruity and grassy. Mouthfeel is soft, round, astringent and medium bodied. Finish is tiny sweet and bitter with bread, biscuits, caramel, grapefruit juice, passion fruit, freshly cut grass, pine needles, moist grass, lemon zest and hints of butter. As a red IPA this just needs to lose the butter to be pretty damn good. Solid hops and high drinkability. As an IPA I prefer it needs to be much paler in the malts, more distinguished and fruity in the hops and definitely needs to lose the butter. --- Beer merged from original tick of Humlebazar on 07 Oct 2015 at 17:58 - Score: 6. Original review text: Solid for a red ipa. Needs to lose the butter
