Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours dark brown with a creamy beige head. Aroma is very rum! Med body -more or less. Flavor is rum(love rum) with flavor hints of heat. There’s some lightly treacly malt, some hard to parse hop,and some astringent wood. But this is all about rum, rum, rum. Heart.

Keg at BP Little Italy, 13/11/14. Reddish amber with a moderate off white covering. Nose is rich dark fruits, subtle barrel effect, light spice, earthy, toffee. Taste comprises caramel, dark fruit rinds, touch sweet, subtle rum trace, woody tang. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok offering, BA pretty subtle but needs to be ABV considered.
