Bottle. Dark brown beer with a brown head. Rich malt and toffee aroma. Grapefruit and pine flavor with light chocolate and rich malt. Medium-plus bodied. Grapefruit and pine lingers with toffee/caramel.

Pours dark brown, almost black, with a fading head.Nose shows toasty malt, bready malt, soft cocoa. Relatively subtle considering the strength.Better flavours, big melanoidin notes, bready and toasty malt, soft booze, figs and a port-like character.

Bomber from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours dark brown with a slight tan head. Aroma of a slightly spicy chocolate brownie. Ok, not exactly, but it is suggestive. Full bodied or nearly. Flavor is a bit spicy/earthy. Definitely chocolate, some medium dark fruit, and arguably a little greasy nut. Finishes not dry, but not sweetly sticky. It isnβt very bitter, but I call it a moderately hoppy ale. Thanks to lots of ingredients it works out quite nicely. Fairly balanced.
