A Fire-brewed Imperial IPA. The name is derived from the fact that it was brewed with an unlikely mix of malts stitched together with a hodgepodge of the stinkiest hops we could find. This one is destined to be quite dank with a starting gravity of 19.2 and colossal quadruple-hoppings. This is on of our famous rotating house beers fleetingly available only in the brewery's Tasting Room.

From a 12 oz. bottle. Opened a gusher and poured a clear gold with a massive off white head. Aromas of dank hay. Flavors are moderately bitter citrus with a pronounced malt sweetness.

Aroma is resiny hops, some spice, a little bit of orange citrus, and a hint of malt. Flavor it falls down some because it’s more like a barleywine then a double IPA.

12 ounce bottle thanks to Dallas. Pours a light copper color with a medium white head. A light caramel malty nose and some fruity hops. Nothing like a big IIPA: sweet , yes some light dankness, bitter orange peel, caramel, earthy. OK.

Tap. Pours cloudy orange amber with a medium off-white head and nice lacing. Aroma is caramel, spruce, resin, very malt forward. Flavor is quite sweet with a medium bitter body and finish. Woody spruce notes. Body is medium, oily to the point of coating the tongue. Interesting try, definitely outside the normal IPA mold, but not my thing.

Bottle thanks to iceicebaby. Pours a hazy golden brown with a thick white head that lasted. Aroma is a combination of sweet malts, mainly caramel, and pine hops. Flavor begins sweet with caramel malts, but the pine hops grow quickly leading to quite a pine finish.

12oz shorty bottle. Quite dark for the style, a thick, murky amber-brown. Sweet brown sugar and earthy hop aroma. Big fluffy head, steady. Somewhat mellowed by the thick yeast, this an excellent beer. The bitterness isn’t really over-the-top in my opinion, rather it works well with the big body, leaving some sweet sticky residue in the aftertaste. Solid malt notes, almost reminiscent of a strong brown ale at times. A very nice surprise from Pearl Street, worth seeking out.
