(473ml can from Mikkeller Webshop) Having missed the memo that these cans were exploding, I got the gunshot-like joy of this thing blowing it’s top essentially clear off in a box in storage, scaring the life out of us. Salvaged about 200ml. Pours black with a small medium tan head. Aroma is bitter and massively roasty, a wall of burnt malts, coffee grounds, cacao, a little caramel, soft vanilla and chocolate. Mouthfeel is flat after the explosion, flavour is dry and roasty with notes of anise, bitter cacao, roasted and somewhat burnt malt, light to moderate coffee, touches of bittering hops, and bone dry roasted aftertaste with lots of anise and cacao lingering. A little thin and watery, but some of that is likely attributable to the blowup.

1 pint can at home courtesy of Saeglopur, bit thanks, shared with Powy. No Obvious BB date. rather deformed can. black color, medium coffee colored head. smells grassy, elder flowers, light coffee, bit earthy. nice smell. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes citric, grassy, some coffee, earthy, lightly lactic, bitter chocolate, peppery, bit soapy. finishes lightly sweet and lightly roasty bitter with notes of coffee, bitter chocolate and some herbal notes. very creamy mouthfeel, not the best Stout I have had but still rather enjoyable.

One pine can from Mikkeller Webshop.
Quite a gusher. Black body, with a big, stable, very creamy, lacing, dark beige head.
Aroma of freshly grinded coffee, cocoa beans, bitter chocolate, wood, liquorice, some vanilla, slight fruits.
Tastes pretty similar.
Medium, oily mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation.
Finishes roasty, dry, wooden, with coffee and cocoa beans, liquorice, some smoke.
Tasty. Straight, roasty, with lots of coffee and cocoa. Full bodied and robust, but still quite easy to drink. Not on par with the original Beer Geek Breakfast, but a lovely, expressive Stout nonetheless.
