A lovely soft and smooth ebony ale with subtle notes of roasted malt and caramel. Its inviting velvety texture makes it highly quaffable.

Dark brown with lasting creamy head. Decent malty taste and rounded hop bitterness. Quite flavoursome for a low alcohol beer. Perfect session ale.

Cask (Grey Horse, Manchester) - Very dark, almost black in colour with a creamy looking head. Black bread, coffee and a hint of liquorice in the aroma. Smooth and 'creamy' taste with fairly subtle yet noticeable hints of coffee, liquorice and blackcurrant detected.

From cask at Grey Horse, Manchester, with OGJ 07.01.18. Dark mahogany. Dense and persistent off-white head and lacing. Excellent aroma and taste of dark malt, dates and prunes. Both drry and smoth mouthfeel. Superb for such a low ABV.
