A lovely soft and smooth ebony ale with subtle notes of roasted malt and caramel. Its inviting velvety texture makes it highly quaffable.

Cask at the Rambler Inn - Edale. Pours clear, deep brown with a dense, creamy tan head. The nose has subtle roast, burnt toast, hints of burnt leaves. Light sweet flavour with restrained ashy roast, very faint cocoa, hints of bitter earth, leather. Light bodied with fine carbonation; decent condition. A little bland on the finish, with light roast, cocoa, slight dough, leathery berries. Very basic stuff, but drinkable.
