Shared 650 ml bottle, as Ol’ Republic Pub Ale (English-style Ale), in Nevada City. Drank it too cold from a frosted glass. Copper colour, large off-white head. Aroma and flavour of a typical English bitter with toffee notes, just with some more alcohol. Fuller’s ESB is probably what they try to emulate here - this one is not quite as good as Fuller’s, but a nice try.

Bomber as "Pub Ale" from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Words on bottle pretty well match words in the above description. ABV matches. Pours dark copper with a creamy beige head. Light floral and roast malt aromas. Med body. Flavor seems to have a touch of chocolate, but also mild roast malt and some floral. Decent drink.

On draft at the brewhouse in a sampler. Pours a clear copper color with an off-white head. Not much aroma here - some slight malt peeking through. Flavor is rich biscuity with a nice, slight earthy hop finish.
