3 Fonteinen Oude Kriek wordt bekomen door het macereren van handgeplukte volle krieken op jonge traditionele lambik gedurende minstens vier maanden, in een verhouding van één kilo per liter. Daarna wordt de kriekenklambik geassembleerd met jonge lambik en wordt alles gebotteld, en zet de vergisting zich verder op fles. Hierdoor ontstaat een zacht fruitige Oude Kriek, geraffineerd, en met evolutie in het glas. Natuurlijk fruit, zonder toevoeging van sappen, siropen, of suikers. Ongefilterd en ongepasteuriseerd.

3 Fonteinen Oude Kriek est le résultat de la macération de griottes entières, cueillis à la main, pendant au moins quatre mois dans du lambic traditionnel/ La proportion est un kilo de griottes par litre de lambic. Ensuite, le kriek lambic est assemblé avec du jeune lambic et le tout est embouteillé, et la fermentation continue dans la bouteille. Ainsi, une Oude Kriek douce et raffinée est créée, et qui évolue dans le verre. Du fruit naturel, sans jus, sirops ou sucres ajoutés. Non-filtré et non-pasteurisé.

Bottle thanks to Ricky. Pours a dark ruby with medium pinkish head that lasts. The aroma is strong funk, oak, cherry skin, spice. Medium body, funky, sweet cherry, oak, nice tartness, dry finish, enjoyed this.

Beautiful pink/purple colour, foam disappears quickly. Lots of cherries in the aroma. Taste is very fruity but also some vinegar, rather tart and vinegary. Not the best balanced Kriek of 3 Fonteinen.

0,75l bottle bought 11/2018 (bottled 17/01/2018) at the brewery. F: thin, pink, quickly gone. C: deep ruby red, light hazy. A: cherries, cherry skin, woody, funky, unripe berries, basement. T: sour fruity, sour cherries, bit sour cherry skin, woody, funky, intensive fruity, bit puckering, bit marzipan, hint of mineral, full body, decent carbonation, dry on the palate, very refreshing, fully enjoyed.

Deep ruby body, with a tiny, light pink head.
Beautiful aroma of sweet-sour a bit jammy cherries, wood, cheese, basement, some citrus, slight vinegar.
Tastes quite similar, with a bit more vinegar.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes medium dry, medium acidic, wooden, a bit citric, with smooth cherries, moderate vinegar.
Beautiful! Especially the nose is amazing, so balanced and diverse. Lovely, elegant, jammy cherries throughout. Not my favourite Kriek, but very tasty stuff.

0,75l bottle at Sanders place shared by Sander, big thanks. bourdeaux like clear color, small pink head. smells funky, cheesy, cherries, marzipan, nutty, cherry skin. very nice smell, suprisingly funky, subtle cherry notes. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of cherries, cherry skin, marzipan, nutty, light wood, bit citric, bit grassy. finishes dry and light to medium sour with notes of cherries, cherry skin and citric notes. very nice one, surprisingly funky on the smell, which was not very noticable on the taste. very juicy.

750ml bottle. Sour, heavy with cherries, hints of wood, farmyard, earthiness and oak. Quite balanced and tasty, some carbonation too unlike the Kriekenlambik Toast version.

Bottle @ Ratebeer Odense, 2018. SFO, Peter, Halling, Scheffel and MrOrla. Pours Deep reddish with a bubbly head. Wood, fine tartness. Barnyard. Intense cherries. Dry finish. Lovely. Tart.
