Tap at the brewpub as Charles B. Brown. Pours very dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is nutty chocolate. Med body. Flavor is nutty, and there’s rather "creamy" chocolate. It’s just a little nut bitter. Mild nut greasiness. Good brown.

On tap. Pours with a mostly clear, deep mahogany hue with a tan head that fades but leaves good lace. Aromas are of big and robust malt, light dark fruit, a bit raisiny like Special B, leathery, spicy, lightly herbal, some grapenut like malt character. Flavors are toasty, lightly coconut like, raisiny, highly toasted malt, light melanoidins, medium sweet. Off dry, toasty, medium carbonation, medium-full bodied.
